Online Home Learning

During the closure of the school due to Covid-19 we are providing resources to support parents with their children’s learning at home.

Google Classroom (Y1-Y6)
Each week teachers are posting work for their classes on Google Classroom.
Instructions for using Google Classroom, times teachers are online for communication and protocols are in attachments below.

Reception will receive weekly activities through Tapestry app.

Other Alderwood logins

Pupils in Years 1-6 also have logins for MyMaths and TimesTables Rockstars to support their maths learning.
Details for these are on Further Resources page.

Further resources
There are many websites providing a wealth of resources for home learning including the government website and BBC Bitesize. We have listed some of these on the Further Resources page for you to look at as required. While it is valuable to have so many resources available, seeing so many can be daunting. They are there so you can select ideas and support for learning you are doing at home, and can be fitted in between equally important fresh air, exercise and downtime.  The teachers will, at times direct you to certain ones.

Home School Agreement

We value the link between home and school and foster this by issuing a Home School Agreement to every child.  Each year, all stakeholders are expected to read this through to remind themselves of this agreement.  Please use the link below to remind yourselves and your child of Alderwood's expectations.
