We'll Meet Again!

As part of their history topic, Palm and Oak Classes, including the teachers, came to school dressed as evacuees, soldiers and land girls to enjoy a World War Two day.

During the day the children, thought about what it would have been like to be a child living through the Blitz and how it would have felt to be evacuated and to have to adjust to life in the countryside.

The children also designed their own propaganda posters and participated in a hands on experience of rationing when they cooked pea soup and carrot scones.

The day ended with the children sampling their cooking and singing some World War Two songs.

A thoroughly enjoyable day was had by all.
